what new in Boulder?

Back to Boulder next week on last visit went to the Kitchen and loved it. Anything else that is a must try - fresh foods - unique or the best ever. Looking for fairly inexpensive.. in other words the Kitchen was a treat. Thanks for any ideas!

  1. My new favorite is the Black Cat Bistro on 13th Street. Not exactly inexpensive but certainly not outrageous. In fact, the 5 course tasting menu is a real bargain because I have yet to have the servers stop at 5! This usually ends up with 9 or 10 courses.

    1. Radda: Broadway and North, next to Ideal Market. Italian, nice, inexpensive.

Also, if you can afford a non-expensive wonderful mean, you should go to Frasca on Pearl & 18th.

Frasca isn't exactly new. It opened in 2004 and is really a destination restaurant. In addition to Black Cat (opened late 2006) and Radda (early 2007), 7 EuroBar is now simply Seven; new chef and gone from contemporary Continental to Latin cuisine. More recently, the former Rhumba (Caribbean) became Centro (Latin American; very moderate prices). Same owner. New approach. Both are very near each on Pearl -- Centro at 10th, Seven between 10th and 11th.

Also, if you're looking for economy, many restaurants have well-priced happy hour menus, a few even going as late as 7:00 p.m. Go to Limited menus always, but no one can eat everything on the list anyway.
