Chronicle last night

mtm7654 May 10, 2007 08:23 AM

Did anyone catch Chronicle last night on cheap eats places around Boston? Not sure if it was a rerun or not. Any comments on the places reviewed? The only one I've been to I think is Emma's pizza.

I've always loved Audubon though haven't been recently. I find their bartending to be pretty good and I really love their burger.

      The shows mentioned were:

      Zocalo Cocina Mexicana
      Rachel's Kitchen
      Zoe's Gourmet Chinese
      Miami Café (South End)
      Audubon Circle
      Basta Pasta
      Martsa on Elm
      Something Savory

With the exception of BP, which is ixne on the board, the others have been extensively reviewed by hounds, and generally positively I believe.

I recently posted about Rachel's Kitchen - a cute shop hidden in the Bay Village - very good fare -

Is that the official spelling of ixne? :>) Interesting to see Rachel's Kitchen on Chronicle shortly after reading your post. Makes me want breakfast!

Great thin crust pizzas at Emma's. Audubon Circle is a terrific value for the quality of the food. LOVE the apple, brie, and watercress pressed sandwich. I like Zoe's a lot but have only grabbed take-out on a couple occasions. If you do a search you'll find a lot of Zoe's feedback.

I've only been to a couple. I always like their restaurant shows but there was no new ground being broken.
