Does it have to be below 14th? I would suggest Boqueria...they have several diff sangrias and great tapas

if you want drinks only, i'd suggest tapeo on the corner of clinton and stanton. i wasn't impressed with the couple of tapas we had (though they weren't terrible), but i LOVE their sangria. it's very tart, not the sugary mess many places dole out.

Cafecito has pretty good sangria although the strength has varied over the years. food is very good too.

Slightly above 14th Street but Maryann's at 16th and 8th makes the best Sangria's IMO. Order and appetizer to share and you can get a pitcher of sangria.

Yuca on the corner of 7th St and Ave A. Potent and delicious-- white and red options.

Also, there a place in the alphabets on Houston that makes white and red sangrias. I still prefer Maryann's though.

Salud in Seaport North neighborhood. Corner of Beekman and Front.

Luca Lounge on Ave B and 13th -- white wine sangria is especially good. there is a garden out back and also tons of couches to sit and chill on.

El Rey Sol on 14th between 7th and 8th. If you're lucky enough to snag a table in the garden, order some snacks and let the pitchers of sangria roll in.
