Lunch Suggestions for South Shore

Does anyone have some ab. fabs. for luncheon dining in the south shore area? Looking to take a friend to lunch to celebrate her accomplishments. It will likely be raining, on that day, so outdoor dining is not an option.

Looking for great food and something new and exciting. Thanks!

Jake's in Nantasket has great seafood and a nice western view of marshes and islands.

I think all the suggestions have been good ones, with the exception of maybe Rustic Kitchen. Never been a fan. I would also suggest DiNeros in Cohasset.

Strawberry Fair, Rt 3 to exit 14, across from Queen Anne shopping center. I had a wonderful lunch there last fall.

Had a lovely lunch at Bridgemans this past Saturday. Food (quality & menu variety), service & atmosphere were all good. Definelty will return.

          Square Cafe is always pleasant

If not raining, outdoors at Siros at Marina Bay is always fun and great people watching

I agree w/you about Bridgeman's. We had a wonderful meal there. With the nice weather, I will have to wander that way again soon!

You may also want to check out either Tosca (pricey, but great food) and it's counterpart Cafe Tosca, which is slightly more casual. Both are in Hingham.

Last I checked, neither Tosca nor Cafe Tosca were open for lunch. That could have changed of course, and if so, both would be excellent options.

Will heartily second Square Cafe, Rustic Kitchen, and Bridgemans. Bella's in Rockland is also very good.

They open at 11:30, so I'd say that's lunchtime.

Cafe Tosca has lunch "seasonally" according to the eat well web site, Memorial Day to Labor Day. Tosca does not serve lunch.

Maybe Square Cafe or Rustic Kitchen in Hingham.
