Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream

My teenagers, big fans of the Colbert Report, are wondering where in Toronto you can find Ben & Jerry's new ice cream named for him, called Americone Dream. At least I think that's what it is. If anyone knows where I can pick up a half litre, let me know. Downtown or west Toronto is preferable, but, well, for my kids, I'd go anywhere!

I'm looking forward to a positive reply as I haven't seen it in any supermarkets and the Ben & Jerry's on Queen & John doesn't serve it!

What's in this ice cream? This is the second post in the past month or so looking for it.

The flavor, Stephen Colbert’s AmeriCone Dream™ is a decadent melting pot of vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered waffle cone pieces and a caramel swirl. It’s the sweet taste of liberty in your mouth.

I heard it is only available in the US.

There's a facebook group you can join, to help try to convince B & J to sell Americone Dream in Canada : http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid...

Don't bet on ever seeing it, though this is one of those occasions where a groundswell of requests could possibly be effective. We have never had more than a small handful of B&J or HD flavours, and rarely the best ones.

I recently saw it at Longos in the Kingsbury Plaza in Mississauga.

Thanks, Scary. Where is Kingsbury Plaza? I get lost west of the 427.

Oops! Was there last night and they're out. Sorry.

For future reference it's at Rathburn and Ponytrail. Ponytrail is the first set of lights west of the Toronto border heading west on Burnhamthorpe. Turn right on Ponytrail and It's one block.
