Best Disney restaurant, any price

I'm going with my mother to DisneyWorld at the end of the year, and we'll coincidentally be there for her birthday, November 30th (she'll be turning 50-something, I'm 30). I would like to take her out for a really nice birthday meal and I haven't been to Disney in years, so I need your help!

We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but we're open to eating anywhere on Disney property. No real food preferences, but would like to avoid anything very exotic like Thai or Indian. It will be during the holidays, so is there any restaurant that will have particularly nice holiday decorations?

Here's what I've found some minimal info on so far that I'm considering. I could use more opinions on these, and any other suggestions:

Cinderella's Royal Table
Shula's Steak House (Dolphin Hotel)
Victoria & Albert's (Grand Floridian resort)

Thank you in advance!

  1. I think Victoria and Alberts or Citrico's would be your best bets.

Regarding decorations, the hotels mostly have the decorations.
Here are some pictures from All Ears to give you an idea:

    1. may faovirte place was: in order

      victoria & alberts (hands down)
      jiko's
      citirco's/california grill (tie)
      flying fish

      1. I really nice is the criteria, any of those mentioned are quite accpetable, although your mother may consider the Jiko menu too exotic.

Chek allers.com for the current menus.

If the criteria is the best restaurant at Disney, it's Victoria & Albert's, way ahead of second place. You seriouosly need to start making reservations now if you are there at Christmas. Being a Disney hotel gues is helpful, go through (407) WDW-DINE to book it.
And be prepared to drop $250-$300 including wine and tip, for your dinner.

And as a bonus, I think the Grand Floridian has the best decorations. So elegant and Victorian.

        2. Victoria & Albert's for sure...Agree that reservations as early as they will let you make them is key...

          1. Thank you so much! They won't let me make my reservation until June, but I'm definitely going to do Victoria & Albert's. And thanks for that website, the menu looks great. I will report back in December! :)
