Mother's Day lunch near Oakville/Burlington border

El Puerco May 8, 2007 03:38 PM

My brother, sister, and I will be taking our mother for lunch on Sunday. Looking for something nicer than a roadhouse, but reasonably priced.

Has anyone tried the Great Lakes Grille on Lakeshore near Burloak?

Stay away from the Great Lakes Grille.

The food on the border is dicey at best.
Go into Oakville a little bit and you'll find lots of good places downtown.
Or go into Burlington and find the same.

I don't know whether Stoneboats in Bronte Harbour ever reopened after their fire, but they did seem to be rebuilding last summer. They had good food in a lovely setting.

Try Stoney's on Kerr Street in Oakville..Best brunch in the area, but get there early.

Try Jakes Grill and Oysterhouse on Walkers Line and QEW ( next to travelodge hotel)
Good fish and seafood and lovely patio.
