    CHINESE:
Full House in Arcadia by Golden West close to Baldwin for dim sum and Cantonese cuisine.
Tasty Garden on Baldwin Ave. for HK style cafe.
Chang's Garden on Duarte by Baldwin Ave. for Mandarin style food (hot & sour soup, kung pao chicken, etc.)
Din Tai Fung for famous soup dumplings on Baldwin Ave by Duarte. (yummy and very crowded)

    JAPANESE:
Kiyosuzu off of Baldwin by Huntington Drive for fresh sushi at cheap price (I think they have sushi lunch for around $6 or $7)
Mako & Sushi on Huntington Drive for cheap lunches. Sushi not as fresh and not as good as Kiyosuzu, but still reasonably priced.

    AMERICAN FOOD:
Moffett's off of Baldwin Ave by Golden West for really good chicken pot pie (really cheap too)
Sesame Grill off of Huntington Drive has mixed review. It's Cal-fusion. Many like it. I don't.
There is a restaurant right by the lawn bowling green that is part of the golf course. I heard it is not bad. Never been...
There is also restaurant row on Huntington Blvd.

    KOREAN:
Young Dong for tofu and Korean bbq off of Huntington Dr/Baldwin

Full House is at the corner of Golden West and Duarte Rd. Din Tai Fung and Chang's Garden are around the corner from each other at Duarte Rd. and Baldwin - DTF is on Baldwin, CG on Duarte, and if you want to COOK Chinese there's a good Asian supermarket in the same horseshoe mall as CG, and a 99 Ranch in the same mall as Full House.

Not a restaurant, but if you want a damn good Italian sub for cheap, Claro's on Huntington Drive (free parking in giant municipal lot behind) has their made-daily 8" subs for $2.99, 12" for $3.99. They'll custom-make one for you at somewhat higher prices. Closed Sunday and Wednesday.

WHills has some good recommendations. I'd also add La Paloma (Duarte) and El Matador (Irwindale) for Mexican

Here's a list of of SGV restaurants I've compiled:

Some of them are actually in Arcadia. Most of the rest are very close.
