Need recs for Tampa and Gulf coast please!

Hello! I'm taking a trip to Florida for a long wedding weekend and need some tips for my travels, please.

Tampa--2 dinners (one very casual, $50 limit for a couple not including drinks, can be near the airport or right in Tampa and one that can be a little nicer but not too upscale, in Tampa, St. Pete or Clearwater), 2 breakfasts/brunches (casual, locals favorites type places would be great)

Bradenton, Sarasota, Port Charlotte--1 lunch, we'll be on the road from Tampa to Sanibel Island and will need to stop for lunch. A super casual seafood, beach shack type of place would be great, but we're open.

Sanibel Island--1 dinner, a place that serves alcohol and has a festive spirit--nothing too stuffy or formal would be great. 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch, casual, delicious food, again locals favorites would be great.

So, in summary, we favor great food, locals-favorites over upscale ambience. We're open to any ethnic food except sushi (we have plenty of that here in L.A.) and Indian.

Thanks!!

  1. Try The Middle Grounds Grill in Treasure Island(St Petersburg coast). Upscale but casual and right on the main beach strip. Great food, wine's and ambience. Ask to sit near the 400 gallon aquarium. The menu is available online at www.middlegroundsgrill.com

    1. breakfast, i would rec lennys on u.s. 19 in clearwater. they have the best breakfast in town. as far as dinner, a place called ceviches on south howard ave in south tampa would fit your criteria. it is a tappas rest. and has great food. for 50 dollars without drinks, 2 can eat like kings. .
