Rome Restaurants Sunday and Monday

We will be in Rome for two nights pre-cruise in July-a Sunday and a Monday. We are a party of four adults and four teens. I am looking for a place to eat on Sunday night near the Spanish Steps (where we are staying) or near the Pantheon/Piazza Navona (where we will be ending a tour). We will be ending a tour of Ancient Rome Monday afternoon.

My Husband and I visited Rome two years ago and are looking forward to introducing everyone else to the city. We would prefer to dine in trattorias, etc to get the true Roman experience. Al fresco dining would be a plus. We are all adventurous eaters that enjoy good food and wine.

We will also be returning to Rome for one Friday night post-cruise and again stay near the Spanish Steps.

Thank you for any suggestions that you might have.

  1. I believe Il Fico, near piazza Navona, is open on Sunday evening. It's very good. Also superb (more expensive) is Il Presidente, near the Trevi Fountain, which is sort of in your area and stays open on Sunday evening.
