It is on Lincoln across from Dr. Wilkinson's - also the Calistoga Farmer's Market is Saturday morning right next to Palisades. Where to picnic? I would say the islands/gazebos at Chateau Montelena but I don't think they allow the masses on them any more... Pioneer Park is nice. You can picnic at Clos Pegase. We just had a beautiful picnic lunch at Hall last Friday. They have tables set up under the trees - very elegant out there, even though the tasting room is full of tipsy tourists - you may need to call ahead. I like the picnic grounds at Rutherford Hill winery, 200 Rutherford Hill Road, Rutherford. That road goes East and uphill off the Silverado Trail.
