I think Arpeggio is an excellent choice as well. You can't go wrong-the food is great. There have been multiple posts regarding this restaurant on this site--if you do a search you'll find more info! Good luck!

El Sarape in Blue Bell and Tamirindos in Broad Axe are both fun, with excellent Mexican food. Tamarindos is a BYOB, if that makes a difference.

I'll second both of these restaurants, but try Tamirindos on a Saturday for their free margaritas.

I went to Tamarindos on Saturday and can't say that I was overly impressed. The food at El Sarape is much better. However, what BigAppetite said is true, the free margaritas are nice. The servers pour them like they are water.

I will also second Arpeggio, although the wait there can be very long on the weekends. They serve the best hummus I have ever had and the fresh pita is remarkable.

The Drafting Room in Spring House is very good, especially if you like different beers from across the country.

A drive up to Skippack to go to Parc Bistro or Basta Pasta is well worth it.

I'm a big fan of Tamarindo's and generally enjoy their food. If you are looking for upscale Mexican, La Cava in ambler is a slight notch above Tamarindo's in terms of quality. I saw recently that they also started serving free margaritas, which is a big plus.

I agree, La Cava is definitely a notch above both Tamarindo's and El Sarape, but the original poster was looking for a restaurant in Gwynned. Also, it's hard enough getting into La Cava, let's not make it too popular!

We really like San Marco in Springhouse on Bethlehem Pike.

If I were in the area, I wouldn't miss an opportunity to go to Allison at Blue Bell!

It is mentioned on the web site, but to be sure you're aware that they take cash and check only at Allison.
