The Dressing Room in Sherman Oaks?

I've seen it on Ventura Blvd...what's the verdict?

For those who are familiar with Pluto's in Palo Alto (NorCal), is it similar to that?

  1. Hi.. If this is the design-it-yourself salad and grilled protein restaurant in Sherman Oaks, there was one sole (largely favorable) review submitted here about 6 months ago by a poster responding to a salads-in-the-valley type of thread. As I recall, the addition of various protein choices (grilled chicken, lamb, shrimp, etc.) adds up quickly, $-wise. Sounded OK, if you're OK with a pricier (and less trough-like) alternative to Souplantation...

    1. I love it. I have lunch there around once a week, sometimes more often. It's not a salad bar in that you don't serve yourself. You choose from one of their pre-arranged combinations, or choose your own which involves choosing lettuces, toppings (5 included - veggies, cheeses, nuts, etc.), proteins (cost extra - lots of different chicken choices, shrimp, tofu, steak), dressing. The proteins are generally cooked after you order your salad. I always choose my own. My salad tends to run around $9.50 but I get chicken. Shrimp or steak are more. It's not inexpensive but I think it's worth it. They have coupons in the local mailers.

      1. Better than Pluto's in terms of salad options... Pluto's choices aren't exactly varied IMO, and The Dressing Room has many more and better options.

It's a really good place. The ingrediants are very fresh and the people are friendly. They also do some creative thinbgs with dressings, like the roasted red pepper. I would highly recommend it.
