The Ivy's Grilled Veggie Salad
I love this salad as well. I have never seen a recipe for it. I believe one key is using Mesquite when you grill. I love how even the lettuce at The Ivy tastes of Mesquite. That said, I have done my own version of this salad and it has turned out very well. I just make a good, solid vinaigrette, marinate the veggies in the dressing, then grill them, along with the lettuce, on an outdoor grill. Chop it all up (with chicken or shrimp, also marinated, if you like) and toss with a little more dressing. It is tough to screw up!
