TAKING CARE OF COOKWARE

How do you take care of black steel frying pans

    I care for my Bourgeat steel pans the same was as I do for cast iron. I wipe them out and then place it back on a low burner to evap' any moisture before I put it away.

    If you pan isn't well seasoned or you live in a humid environment, you might wipe it with a bit of cooking oil to prevent it from rusting.

      Never use soap on a steel pan.
      I run the pan under hot water and use a green scrub pad to rub out any grease or grime, then I towel dry and put on flame to dry out.
