Pinkberry or something similar?

I'm a semi-recent SoCal transplant, and as far as I know, Pinkberry hasn't expanded to Northern California yet. With this warm weather, I'm missing me some yogurt with fresh strawberries and mango. Anything similar to Pinkberry up here? Extra bonus to places that are in Marin or the East Bay. Thanks!

  1. You may wanna look at this previous post: They have Mangoberry at Michelle's Yogurt on Durant Avenue in Berkeley.

I was at Michelle's again tonight and there was quite a line. Both the male store owner and his wife (?) were here tonight, and you could see that they do put a lot of care and attention into the yogurt and give generous samples too. It's a good thing that they are getting a lot more business now that they have the new Mangoberry. In the past, I've always wondered how they could survive with Yogurt Park on the other side of Durant.

    1. I had my first Pinkberry last weekend in LA and after 2 days was an addict. Now I am going nuts without it. The closest thing I have tasted to the regular flavor, is found at Sketch, in Berkeley (on Fourth St). This is an ice cream shop, but they have this flavor "Strauss Yogurt" which is very similar to the taste of regular Pinkberry. Plain but with a bit of sweet/tartness. I know, it's not the same, but it's better than nothing.

and, for clarification, Sketch is gelato, not ice cream. So, it probably is a little closer to the texture of fro yo than actual ice cream is.

      2. Add Pinkberry to the list of bidnesses I'm surprised aren't expanding to SF. I'm similarly surprised nobody has just tried to clone it here (given that there are many Pinkberry devotee LA transplants are up here, but no Pinkberry or anyone who's managed to offer quite the same thing - Mangoberry is different!)

Either Pinkberry or the cloner could make a killing, especially since this thing is not only addictive but "healthy"...the key in both LA and SF.

If anyone reads this and gets an idea, you owe me a cut!
