I am visiting SF, and going to Tamarine tomorrow night. How does it compare to the Slanted Door? What to order?

Count me as one of those who think the Slanted Door has lost its lustre - and places like Tamarine have filled the void. The restaurant is elegant without being pretentious and the food is sublime. The lemongrass bass is delicious, as is the shaking beef.
The clay pot cod is also tasty. And be sure to taste many of the infused rices.

Also you can find some eclectic choices on the wine list. Enjoy.

If you're going to SF, why didn't you just check out their sister rest, Bong Su? I just tried it on Saturday and thought it was nice. Trendy, visual, delish. But that's just me.
