Anyone dined recently at Saha? favorite dishes?
Went twice the last month, both times with large groups (good place for a group).
First time, got a variety of the small plates, a few entrees, things were great. The meshwi plate was solid, with an assortment of grilled meats, rice, and yogurt. I remember liking the pizza and the avocado salad, also. The salmon baklava sounded good, but was disappointing.
Second time, a bunch of us got the prix fixe menu, thinking that it would be a good deal. You don't actually get a full portion of any of the items, so it's not really as great a value as you'd think.
I had dinner at Saha a few months ago. The 3 Green Things salad was excellent (the green beans were cooked to just the right amount of firm bite), as was the braised lamb shank. Some of the dishes we had were served with a light drizzling of a wonderful smoky, sweet date sauce.
We also enjoyed our dessert, a chocolate-filled phyllo purse that, if I remember correctly, was named "Slap Your Mama" :)
I have heard their bastilla and tagines are good, although we did not try them.
