At least, according to OpenTable.com, it is. If you haven't heard, this is the new restaurant from the chef (now also owner) of the former Restaurant L adjacent to Louis, Boston. It is described a "Steak House cuisine with influences from Southeast Asia. Executive Chef Pino Maffeo creates dishes such as seared dandelion and ricotta ravioli, spring peas, morel mushrooms; crispy soft shell crab, avocado carpacio [sic] with brulee grapefruit; apple wood grilled market beef, crispy potato, four different salts."

Clearly, this is not your father's steak house. Leaving aside a discussion of what strikes me as a terrible, terrible name (it just begs for some stupid jokes), I'll be curious to get some early opinions on this place. I always admired Maffeo's cooking, but got the distinct sense that his corporate masters at Louis had muzzled his early innovation at L. I'm hopeful he'll get to show off his skills unfettered in the new incarnation of this venue.

The dishes you're describing were Resto L dishes! Sounds like not much has changed---which is good as far as I'm concerned (esp. if, as you say, they leave him well enough alone).

Wow, you guys have ragged on lots of names here that don't seem so horrible to me. This however sucks. Sounds like it's a meat store by Haymarket or something.
