Eating Outside...

I am showing a friend around the DC area but admittedly, I have not been to that many places. I am looking for a place that is no more than about $20 a plate. I want taste over presentation. I want to eat outside. About the location... I lived in Georgetown for a few months and I now live near old Town Alex. I am without a car so it must be within walking distance (around a mile) of a metro station. I would love to explore a new neighborhood (know nothing about Dupont, Adams Morgan, Park/Zoo...) and want some nice outside dining for tomorrow. Ethnicity of food is no problem but I eat poultry almost exclusively. Does anyone know a great turkey burger or fun pasta dishes with a lot of vegetables?

I am putting a lot of demands.

I 2nd Hank's. It's one of my favorite restaurants in DC...especially with the outside seating.

Up in Adams Morgan you can try Cashions or Grill from Impanema.

And in Woodley Park OpenCity has a decent turkey burger.

ooo forgot about open city. they have a good bit of outdoor space and I've never had bad food there, and there's something for everyone.

Also in Woodley Park is Petit Plats...a cute little french place. Good roasted chicken. I think they have outdoor seating but I can't remember.

Petit does have outdoor seating and I 2nd going there--fantastic baguettes a rarity in this city.
