We are hosting a rather intimate party hopefully on Sunday June 10 for 3 hours (3PM to 6PM) , approx. 25 people.
Private room needed.
Must be wheelchair accessible.
Buffett is OK.
Will have an open bar , but no real big drinkers.
Hoping for something in the East to Central area.
I hope someone else can help with the private room & open Sunday aspects.
As far as finding accessible places, the most reliable free source is Now Magazine. Their two-tiered access rating covers barrier free and barrier free except washrooms. I would still recommend a site inspection to verify the info. Why all sources, including Toronto Life, don't consider accessible washrooms important to the dignity of patrons is still a mystery to me.
Found a place that was not too busy and has a decent menu for a Toronto get together.
It's called the Granit Brewery and is in the Mt. Pleasant/Eglinton area. http://www.granitebrewery.ca/
Parking is not an issue, even in that area, and the quality of food and price is very scalable according to budget.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.
