Price doesn't matter 700 a person or 7.00 a person. Anywhere in LA, OC, even up to santa barbara. But lets not go any further then that.

Not exactly the only Japanese Restaurant I like. I also like Nobu, Beacon, and a few others, but one of my top favorites, and happens to be less than 5 minutes from my home. MARU SUSHI in Valencia.
Why? Everything is always very fresh, they 'always' use top quality ingredients. Very good and fresh sushi, and many more. They have a very experienced head sushi chef, sit by him at the sushi bar and you'll be in sushi heaven. Other than the traditional Japanese dishes, they have a great gourmet menu which is printed daily based on the freshest meat, seafood, and produce that is seasonally available. Great desserts too. The restaurant itself is always extremelly clean.
Service, well honestly, not consistent, sometimes very good, sometimes just bad, all depends who is your server. They get very, very busy, especially at dinner time, reservations are a must.
        Recommended 100%!
