Blackout Chocolat cake - where can I find it?

I live in Astoria, am willing to travel. I love this cake. It is made with chocolate pudding & chocolate cake. Amazingly good. Anyone know where I can buy it?

Fairway (all stores) has that old fashioned black out cake with the pudding.
Call them first since they do not alway have all cakes everyday.

Another rec for Ladybird (I'll definitely need some time to get used to the new name)...amazing blackout cake, and it is exactly as you describe - chocolate pudding filling, dark chocolate cake, chocolate fudge frosting.

Has anyone been there since the change? Please tell me it's still the same...

Definitely Ladybird! Everything they do is wonderful, but they are especially known for their Brooklyn Blackout cakes and cupcakes.

Two Little Red Hens (now known as Ladybird) in Park Slope makes an excellent Blackout cake. Even more incredible is that they make it in cupcake form!

It's on 8th Ave near 12th St. Closest train is the F to 9th st.

I don't know if they still make it, but Andrew's Bakery on New Dorp Plaza in Staten Island (You said you'd travel. lol!) used to make a killer Blackout cake. They have changed hands, so if you decide to make the trek, I'd definitely advise you to call ahead , confirm that they still make it the same way, and have one held for you..

La Flor Bakery in Woodside have a chocolate cake but I think the filling is mousse and not pudding.

There is a bakery in Park Slope on 8th Avenue, I think its called Two Red Hens, that sells a Brooklyn Black Out Cake. It is very good, but I don't know if it is made with pudding.
