Thepin Thai on Gough and Stelline (Italian) on Gough both are helpful about meeting curtain times and offer good food.

I must disagree. We walked out of Thepin Thai about a month ago pre-ballet because we had been there 90 minutes and still no entree in sight (and no wait person in sight to ask where our food was). If you have time constraints for a performance, especially on a weekend evening, I would NOT go there.

And I would go to Il Borgo instead of Stelline in a heart beat.

Here is a thread discussing the usual suspects:

the choices haven't changed much since then.

Gyro King is quick and good.

There are a number of places within walking distance - what sort of food and what sort of price range do you have in mind? Also, how quick is quick? If you give us more details, you will get more specific recs.

we'll probably take a cab because we're going to take the train from sac and i was thinking we'll probably get started early since we won't know how much time to allow and i was just wondering if there's somewhere we could go if we get there too early. price isn't a factor and i don't really know the time issue
thanks for trying tho! sorry to be so confusing......

There are dozens of restaurants in the area.

Places that can be trusted to get you in and out in time to make performances are often fully booked. Without a reservation, Arlequin To-Go or Gyro King are good bets.
