Without knowing your cuisine preferences, I would recommend West Bank Cafe, on 42nd St., b/t 9th & 10th Avs. Delicious New American cuisine. Friendly, efficient service. Nicely-spaced tables with very comfortable seating. Conversation-friendly noise level.
