Good restaurant between the Eastside and the Westside? (Silver Lake and Venice?)

  • 8

I'm looking to have dinner tomorrow somewhere between Silver Lake and Venice. I'm thinking somewhere along La Brea (would this be considered mid-way) or Fairfax or Third Street. Looking for something pretty affordable but of decent quality--the best place I can think of that fits these standards is Nook in Santa Monica).

Thanks in advance!

  1. I'm on an Ethiopian kick right now, so I say head along Fairfax. Very reasonably priced.

    1. You could head to Luna Park on La Brea at Wilshire.

Another option might be to head to the Farmer's Market (Fairfax/3rd).

go to the farmer's market for nice selection of different foods. http://www.farmersmarketla.com/restau..., my favorite is french crepe company. there is also Cabrea restaurant, Campanille and Sonora's.

i have been to the ethiopian restaurants and they are delicious.

      2. I second the Farmer's Market suggestion. Very casual, not too expensive, and everyone can pick and choose what type of food they want.

If you want a sit-down place, definitely go Ethiopian.

        1. Tagine for Moroccan on Robertson, just a few feet north of Wilshire in BH. Very good food, nice wines, cozy atmosphere, and not like most other restaurants in so many ways, with the nicest owners always there. Details here: www.taginecuisine.com

          1. Maybe Angeli Cafe? I love most of the food there and it's very affordable.
