Good Dimsum or buffet in El Monte or nearby?

Hi,

My family is trekking up North to visit my cousin in El Monte this Sun and would like to take his family out. Any recommendation for a great dimsum in either El Monte or any nearby neighborhood is greatly appreciated. Chinese Buffet is a good choice, too.

Thanks all for your reccomendations. There are so many choices! It turned out our visit was delayed in a few weeks so I have enough time to filter these selections. It is just challenging for us to haul the whole clan up there before 11AM on Sunday which may mean long wait for a table!

888 in San Gabriel for DimDum. It is on Valley Blvd, about 5 mins local driving. Go early though. The wait is crazy on weekends.

El Monte is close to all the good dim sum places in the SGV because it's right next to the 10 freeway. There are many postings about this. Look for dim sum places in Rosemead, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Alhambra, and Arcadia. Some of the usual suspects (in no particular order):

El Monte is nearby LA's Mecca for Dim Sum: Do some searches for either the San Gabriel Valley, Arcadia or Monterey Park. There are numerous posts. You can't go wrong with any of the highly recommended places.
