Ymmv, whether it works as a liquer in that capacity, I am not 100% sure, but the comment "does seem to live up to its expectation" is a good turn of a phrase. I kept damiana liquer on my shelf for years, after about 15 I threw what remained out when I moved one time, iirc. Made me think of the old phrase, "candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker", I think willy wonka said that in the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie. Anything else to do with Damiana 'sides a margarita (which I am not opposed to at all! Love margaritas!).
