Work outing in Old Montreal

Need a modestly priced resto suggestion for work colleague's birthday
in old montreal

      I wouldn't call Holder modestly priced. More like moderatly priced. Old Montreal is not the place to eat well on the cheap.

          I guess it depends on what you get. Having the duck salad appetizer will certainly take you out of the moderate range.

    2. My son & his friends went to La Grande Restaurant for his 18th birthday. It was very modestly priced, modest enough for 18 year olds. It is/was located on the south-east corner of ST. Paul and J. Cartier square. The kids thought the food was great. But..I noticed it is now operating under a different name. I have a feeling that it is the same owners that just have to avoid creditors and do the name-change thing to stay afloat (just a hunch). The Old Spaghetti factory is modest and has a private room. Au Vieux Port is not too expensive either for the area.
