Absolutely dinner for more of an atmosphere...Yes it is a bit loud and bustling...but so much fun...I have almost always seen a famous or semi-famous face there at night...It's not only delicious food, but the kind of atmosphere that really makes me feel like I am in New York...Try the steak frites...Wonderful...Good Martinis too....

Depends on what kind of atmosphere you want - quieter or not so quiet? I've just been there for lunch and love it. It's bustling and noisy but I think that makes for a fun time. Whatever you order, make sure to get the frites - they are terrific. I've had the burger and the mushroom pasta and both were really good. For dessert, the banana ricotta tart and a hot chocolate is perfect.

Do breakfast, although I love the place for any meal, breakfast is best. Try to get there when they open at 7:30. At that time you can sit anywhere you want and the place is actually quiet and relaxing. You can hear the classical music and sip a bowl of Latte and read the paper. By 8:30 the place will be loud and crowded with tourists and business meetings, a very different vibe.As far as what to order, I get eggs with the best bacon (Nieman Ranch, I think), homefries with sauteed onions and wheat toast. Most eveything on the breakfast menu is good.
