Cambridge - Corner of Concord Ave and Walden St

Hi, can anyone tell me about the little corner shop on Concord Ave at Walden Street?
The signs say - Sushi, Ice Cream, Carrot Juice, Noodles. It seems an odd mix to me.

  1. had a tasty asian noodle salad there once...there are places to sit but it looks like mostly a takeout place...havent been back :)

    1. I got some sesame noodles and rice there, and it was good. I also haven't been back, but not because of the food. It's just not particularly convenient to me, and I wasn't sufficiently wowed to make it a destination restaurant.

      1. I used to live in the neighborhood and the fresh squeezed juice was great. It's a mom and pop joint with ice cream and cooked and then packaged Korean food, IIRC. More exciting is what's going on across the street in the old Aspasia space (disclaimer: FWIW, they are friends of friends) - Tim Wiechmann and his wife are opening up their own place.

Hey I saw the new sign the other day -- something like T. Food? What do you know?

Menu is already up on Menupages + website:
            http://www.twfoodrestaurant.com/

Looks like lots of high-end tasting plates and portions. I don't know how I will feel when it opens, but my intial opinion was that it all (maybe the mood I was in on reading the menu) seemed a little frou-frou... Sometimes, I don't want to have to make so many choices, and would like it done for me...

It's definitely pricey but I do like the fact that they take Superbowl Sunday off.

I know that to this day I still dream about a poached egg, leek and puffed pastry dish that Tim made years and years ago. Never mind the charcuterie he did at Ten Tables back in the day. Oh my, my....can you say mortadella?

              here's the info:

If you want to lure me back to that side of the river, yumyum, here's the chance! I simply cannot wait.

Geez - I didn't realize Aspasia was 86'd. The menu of the new place looks good - seems that they are opening on May 10.

Was wondering if anyone has made it over to TW Food yet (did they open on May 10 as planned?). Thanks.

            4. Sometimes they have lasagna there, too. I used to go for lunch all the time when I worked nearby. Some food was good, some not-so-good. We usually grabbed a table there and ate at the place.
