I got to try Bi-Rite Creamery because there was FREE Bart today 4/30/07, too bad no more free Bart after today..sucks I know. So it's a cold night in SF but there are people still wanting ice-cream. This place is tiny. It probably fits 10 ppl at most w/ a small area on the side with 3 stools to eat. Tiny samples are given with regular spoons. I got to try Balsamic Strawberry and Roasted Banana. If you blind folded me I couldn't tell u what the difference was. No strong taste to any of them. I got a single scoop on a cone with 2 flavors for $2.95: salted caramel & ginger. Salted caramel is really salty and really sweet. Just ok for me. Ginger had a good ginger taste, not too strong for me. I love ginger though. I also got 2 chocolate chip w/ walnut cookies .75c each, but I'll try it tomorrow. Recommended. About 10 min walk from 16th Street Bart station. I like Bakesale Betty's in Oakland better. Get the Bi-Rite Creamery punch card. Buy 10 whatever (*doesn't apply to waters & sodas) get a single scoop for FREE. The taste/texture wasn't different over then next couple of days. Cookies don't show wear as soon as other baked goods. Would have to agree BB has the better cookie.
