Sunday Brunch in New Paltz

lostinossinng Apr 30, 2007 07:06 PM

Can anyone recommend a good place for Sunday brunch in New Paltz where we can take a toddler? As much as I'd love to go to the Mohonk Mountain House, it's too expensive and perhaps not appropriate for a toddler. I'd like something a little downscale, but still special.

The Main Street Bistro and The Village Tea Room are both child-friendly. The Tea Room is a bit more pricey, but if the weather cooperates you can sit outside on the deck and enjoy your meal. The Bistro has hearty fare, good omelettes, vegetarian options, and serves generous portions. Be prepared for a wait there, though.

the eggs nest on route 213 in high falls. although they do not serve typical brunch fare, it’s open for lunch at 11:30, and it is not too far from new paltz.

I used to live around there, and enjoyed meeting local friends at the Eggs Nest the day after Thanksgiving so I could over their "The Thanksgiving" sandwich, as we would not have any leftovers since we had T-Day dinner at my sisters. Glad to see they are still around.
