April's Cookie of the Month
When this cookie landed in my inbox from King Arthur Flour, I just knew I had to make it for my grandmother-in-law this month! Sin-Free Chocolate Chews: http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/r... (Usually their links time out after a certain amount of time, so you might have to do a search on their site to find it.) No fat! This has to be one of the strangest methods I've ever used for making cookies, but it worked! They are extremely rich, extremely chocolatey, and extremely chewy... she will love them! I was able to send them out the same night I made them too, so they will be the freshest she's ever received! While not low in sugar, I was still majorly impressed that there is no fat in them- you certainly can't tell.

Sin-free and chocolate, not words you see together very often!
I just saw this recipe & thought about your low-fat cookie quest -
Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies (low fat), David Lebovitz, adapted from Nick Malgieri's book 'Perfect Light Desserts: Fabulous Cakes, Cookies...'

Those look great. Have you made the Claudia Fleming Brownie Cookie? These kind of look like that, do they taste similar? There is a heck of a lot of sugar in there, which is too bad, but worth it if they're great! I wonder if you could cut back on some of the sugar, or if that'd just ruin the texture. Because, what, really, could you sub in?

Thanks Katie Nell! I love your cookie of the month updates.
I did have to search the King Arthur site to find the recipe. Here's a new url for it:
