Posting problem

Using a PC with Microsoft on IE.6. as of two hours ago, every time I attempt to reply I get an error mesage

"Internet Explorer cannot download "new from www.chowhound.com. Internet Explorer cannot open this site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later"

HOWEVER, the info posts. I just always get this message. It winds up creating a new window rather than displaying the error message in a separate tab. This only happens on replies and not original posts. I have not changed one thing on my own PC.

It also attempts a download of files. I have not accessed another site since this started to happen. I have run various virus programs and am getting no problems.

Editing a reply doesn't result in an error message.

Same PC set up. Just added a reply and got the error message but the reply did post.

There is SOMETHING wrong with the posting protocol... when I try to reply to a post today it just sits there spinning its wheels and never reloads the screen so it looks as if it hasn't posted. But if I go to a new screen and then go back my post has appeared. I am using Firefox 1.5.0.1.1

That problem has been ongoing for at least a month or so now. I've posted about it before, but I don't know if they're working on it or not.

I'm using IE6 and just started having the same problem. And yes, my post does go through, but that's not obvious until going back to check the thread.

Same issue with me. But when I clicked "back" the reply-posting that i thought was causing the issue did post.
