Photos of Food In Japan

I just got back from 2 weeks in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Takayama.

Went prepared with a ream of good chow ideas found here and on eGullet.

Thank you to all the posters.

Amazing food, day in and day out.

      Excellent shots........however the guy in the blue shirt doesn't seem happy with what's before him.....

      Some locations of the markets, stands or general area specific would be beneficial for future reference.

        Great shots,
        I was wondering if you might have any reccomedations for me. I'm going to Tokyo on the 1st of February and was wondering where I should go for dinner on the first night. I'll be in the Ginza neighborhood.

        Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

              Your pictures are great and remind me of my own recent trip to japan (march30-april16) and out of all places we actually went to the same ramen spot in Kyoto i think! it was a total hole in the wall but the smell called us in...if it is the same spot did you see the huge bubbling pot of bones (we actually witnessed large parts of a carcass being stuffed into it)
