Photos of Food In Japan

  • 9

I just got back from 2 weeks in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Takayama.

Went prepared with a ream of good chow ideas found here and on eGullet.

Thank you to all the posters.

Amazing food, day in and day out.

Here are 132 pictures of the food along the way:

      1. Your pictures are great and remind me of my own recent trip to japan (march30-april16) and out of all places we actually went to the same ramen spot in Kyoto i think! it was a total hole in the wall but the smell called us in...if it is the same spot did you see the huge bubbling pot of bones (we actually witnessed large parts of a carcass being stuffed into it)

        thanks for sharing your experience!

          1. absolutely love your photos! Leaving for Tokyo and Kyoto in early Feb 08. Any chance you can share with me some of the locations you visited/photo'd? Would love to visit. Thanks!

            1. Great shots,
I was wondering if you might have any reccomedations for me. I'm going to Tokyo on the 1st of February and was wondering where I should go for dinner on the first night. I'll be in the Ginza neighborhood.

Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

              Cheers

              1. Excellent shots........however the guy in the blue shirt doesn't seem happy with what's before him.....

Some locations of the markets, stands or general area specific would be beneficial for future reference.

                Excellent post
