post theater, easy to get to, and good food.

I will be attending the theater in the mid-40's at Broadway. What is a good place with possibly bar dining, nice atmosphere, well dressed crowd but not overly stuffy, open late after the theater and not hours of traffic post-theater. Of course good food. I am thinking French Bistro, Italian, or American.

  1. I've always been happy with Eatery on 53rd/52nd and 9th ave.

    1. Madeline on 43rd, just west of Ninth Ave.Really good steak frites!

I'd second Madeleine, or Esca right across the street.....

      2. Marseille, on the corner of 9th Av. & 44th St., serves excellent French/Mediterranean cuisine in a very attractive brasserie setting with an upbeat vibe. Eat at a table or at the bar.
