Golden Spoon Nirvana

So I'm back on the Weight Watchers horse and can't get enough Golden Spoon. (A mini is one point and very satisfying) Fave flavor so far is St. Patrick's Mint, which hasn't been around since March 17th much to my chagrin. Pistachio also great, strawberry and peach swirled together sublime.

Then today I had a revelation. I always look at their machines (two flavors to each machine) to see which flavors are paired together and can be swirled. The heavens opened up when I saw Peanut Butter & Strawberry together.

Can you say a fantastic substitution for a fatty pb&j sandwich? A must try my yogurt loving hounds.

  1. Yum. I always liked their vanilla with strawberries on top or their strawberry with strawberries on top.

    1. Mmmmmm... their peanut butter cup is the stuff of dreams.

      1. There was a line out the door at the new Los Altos store tonight for at least an hour!

OK, Golden Spoon is tasty, but it's hardly some revelatory yoghurt ("today we have manna flavour, and, um, ambrosia. would you like to sample?")... that's like the ridiculous lines here in SoCal when Krispy Kreme opened.

I think the Los Altos line was probably so long because it just opened and it was soooooo hot yesterday. Now I'm addicted to the cookies and cream flavor. How do they do it? I feel like I'm in a Seinfeld episode.

        2. weird. the golden spoon near my house has been there for about 20 years, in order words, no longer exciting, and now that i think about it, it's right next to a weight watchers....

          1. i hadn't eaten golden spoon in about ten years until last friday. it was better than i remember. i got the cake batter flavor. i think it tastes more like a french vanilla, but i liked it.
