Tapas-Style Wine Bar

gastrodoc Apr 27, 2007 02:15 PM

The wife and I are craving a nice wine bar with small plates. Something on the intimate side that we won't need reservations for. Any thoughts? I know this is a big deal giving up the neighborhood joints, but please help!

Ooh...yeah. Small Italian, no reservations...I like. Any ideas on the West Side?

Las Ramblas or Boqueria would be my two choices.

Tintol on W46th is a delicious tapas bar that has an extensive wine list by the glass.

Tia Pol - 205 10th Avenue between 22nd and 23rd. Incredibly good tapas and Sangria. No reservations and very small so get there early if you don't want a wait. It was GREAT!

Tia Pol on 10th Ave at 22nd St. - my favorite tapas and great bar service.

Pasita on 8th Ave. at Jane St. is new and serving tapas style but more south american in actual food. Also nice pizzas. great selction of spanish and portugese wines. great bar service.
