Ft Lauderdale Sublime ..... Been There?
I have friends in town and was curious about that place Sublime in Fort Lauderdale. Does anyone recommend/not recommend it? Any thoughts on what to order?
I've been there a few times. I'm not a vegetarian - far from it, but I loved the place. It that this fantastic green, zen-like beauty to it, and the food was amazing. However, it closed for a long time after the hurricane season of 2005, and I think it re-opened briefly but then closed again for good. As far as I know it's closed. If it has re-opened, I can't vouch for it in its present incarnation.
I've been there a number of times, in all of their incarnations. A visit a few months ago after the last re-opening was very good. The cauliflower fritto misto is out of this world, and the Sublime Piccata is my favorite main dish. If only they'd get the coconut cake back on the menu!
We are not vegetarians either and loved it. I agree, get the cauliflower app., it's superb! The owner even visited our table and the server was more than helpful with us trying to understand exactly what we were ordering! I had the pad thai and my guest had the Chili Relleno. The atmosphere is relaxing with the inspirational sayings flashing on the screen above the bar and the waterfall.
we were there before it closed this last time & loved it. i had some kind of pasta with mushrooms & pine nuts - it was yummy. we just saw in the paper this morning that it has reopened and are going to go again this week. and it served these delicious rosemary rolls. will report back after we try it again.
