Village-y bars in Midtown?

Anyone know of any good, Village-y bars in Midtown, 50s or 40s preferably, for after work drinks on a Friday?

I like Uncle Ming's, Good World Bar, that type of thing.

Drink specials are a plus.

    Siberia is really cool. It's the only rock n' roll bar above 14th, basically. I'm not sure of the exact address, but it's in the low 40's around 9th ave. Look for the red light above the door as there is no sign.

      40th and 9th, and the door is just off the Avenue.

      Under the Volcano on 36th and 5th isn't too bad for the neighborhood.
