I am looking for a place to have a small private party

Since Studio Kitchen seems to be closed, does anyone have a suggestion of where I can have a small dinner party for 8 people in center city Philadelphia?

Effie's is great, you can get the whole upstairs pretty much.Greek
I second Pesto's in SouthPhilly.
Tequila's on 15th and locust is great for large groups. Get the chicken mole with a side of margarita!

We had a wonderful dinner at James, on S. 8th Street. The chef is from Vetri. We were in a small, beautiful room - I don't remember if we were 6 or 8. It would just be for a party about that size. It's a very classy place with excellent food and perfect service. Special. I would be delighted to be at any dinner party there!

Amada in Old City is great, Valanni at 13th and Spruce, Lolita on I think 13th and Sansomish is also a great BYOB!

It's not Center City, but Pesto in South Philly has a small private room for a party your size. It's BYOB, but great food and service.

Do you just mean that you want to have a room to yourselves, or the entire (small) restaurant?
