Celebrating an 80th Birthday

I am a California hound who will be between the areas of Danbury and Somers next week to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. We have an planned event a couple of days after the actual birthday, but a small group of us want to go out for a nice dinner on the actual night. I would like a restaurant with nice food, good service, and a quieter atmosphere (Dad doesn't hear well). I am not particular about type of food, Seafood, Fusion, Italian, etc. We would rather not drive too far. Any ideas?

I've been to Season's up in Somers, it's on route 100 (tel: 914-276-0600) and it's a very nice, quiet (at least while I was there) restaurant with good food. It's not as formal as Le Chateau or the Kittle House but it was still a nice setting with a varied menu and decent prices. http://www.seasonsatsomers.com/Menu/v...

I didn't realize there were so many choices so close. Has anyone tried the Heights Bistro in Yorktown Heights lately? Their web menu looks good. Is it noisy there?

We live right near The Heights and always forget it's there....until last week. We ordered in and it was pretty darn good! The food was nicely done and well-priced. I was pleasantly surprised. The pork loin special was especially yummy.

Le Chateau in South Salem...fab French cuisine and a beautiful restaurant as well, Primavera in Croton Falls....super Italian and nice relaxed atmosphere, or The Kittle House in Chappaqua...can't go wrong at any of the three...good luck and enjoy!!

I'd suggest Stoneleigh Creek between Somers and Croton Falls. It's small (maybe 15 tables) but the food is excellent, and the prices are good.
