Dinner for 12 Friday; <$25-30 pp; West/East Villages,Chelsea, Soho, HK

Any ideas? I'm fresh out and have already tried a number of places.

Type of cuisine doesn't much matter (though no sushi). We're flexible on neighborhoods, as long as it's downtown; the above are just suggestions.

Thank you, hounds!

just to follow up...the group ended up splitting up because it was too large to get a good res. (we met for drink afterwards). half went to ouest on 83rd and bway (rather good), and the other half when to goblin market (mixed reviews as usual).

thanks for the recs! will keep them in mind for next time!

Petite Abeille (locations all over the city, most downtown, one in Brooklyn) is a nice Belgian bistro. Lots of choices for all. None of their entrees is over $20.

Anything a bit less casual? (Also should have noted that we have two celiacs in the group, so anything that only serves pizza or pasta is out :)

          Thanks!

Someone else had suggested Agave for something similar to your situation earlier...it just may work for you all!
