Good Day Cafe Mpls/Golden Vly

Anyone eaten here yet? It's suddenly getting raves.

  1. I really wanted Good Day Cafe to be great since it's in my neighborhood. However, Danny and I have been there a few times and the consensus is it's ok. The best thing was the light, airy Souffle Omlette. The State Fair Pancakes held promise, but really they really didn't taste any different than ordinary pancakes. I can't say that things are bad, just not great. Since there are better brunch options in the Twin Cities, I do not see any reason to go back to Good Day Cafe.

    1. I went last Saturday with two friends and two kids. All were happy with our choices. I had the huckleberry crepes and the beignets.

I saw plenty of choices to return and try, esp after Rick Nelson's review and rec on the cinnamon rolls.

Go for it and try the more ambitious items, I think they are up to the challenge based on the pedigree of the owner.

Let us all know what you find.

Thanks for the replies. I'll let you all know if I get there how it is. What exactly I wonder,
would State Fair Pancakes be, deep-fried and wrapped around a stick? :)
