Taste of London festival- worth checking out?
Has anyone been to the Taste of London festival?
It sounds interesting, but is the price of the ticket worth it? Or is it disappointing?

I went to this last year with my husband. We had fun, but as arrivalslimited said, it can get expensive. There are good deals to be had, though, and some great food. Beware, the really good stuff sells out, and there can be long lines at the most popular booths. We got the most wonderful crispy fried squid with green chile salt from the Zuma booth -- might be the best "calamari" I've had.
My boyfriend and I went for the first time last year and loved it. Sure, it was relatively expensive _ I'd estimate we spent about £70 _ but we both got to eat what we wanted, which was fab for a couple with very different tastes. I must have had four or five glasses of champagne, and BF had an equal number of drinks. We went home completely sated (and slightly giggly) and with our leftover crowns we bagged a few bottles of Cava from one of the stands. We're definitely going again this year.
I went last year and really enjoyed it, but it's true that there are crowds and you have to be prepared to queue up for the food you want. I thought it was a great way to sample lots of things and it can be really gorgeous if the weather is good. My boyfriend wasn't happy about queuing and therefore didn't think it was worth the money... but he's not as into food as me!
