Dinner around Lincoln Center

My wife and I are coming to NYC for Stoppard Coast of Utopia play at Lincoln Center. Any suggestions for a nice dining experience nearby during the break. By way of reference for NYC likes, we really enjoy Lupa for price and quality of food. We eat just about anything ranging from Sri Lankan, Vietnamese, Mexican, Italian, German, etc... Much thanks in advance.

  1. You say "during the break". How long is the break?

We have about 2 hours. My wife is quite pregnant so we were hoping to keep the walking to the vicinity. Thanks

    2. I started this thread about a month ago.

I think you mean pre theater, and not break? In any event, Compass is highly recommended. They have a $35 fixed-price menu which is actually very tasty and filling - a great deal and value. Unlike some prix fixe menus, theirs did not skimp at all.

      1. Pretty much right across the street is Rosa Mexicana which a kinda trewndy, very good new-style Mexican restaurant. One of my wifes favorites.

        1. Eating at the small bar at Picholine is a real treat. I enjoy that...especially if you're going to one of the marathon performances where you are seeing all three plays in succession. It might indeed be a 'break'. Enjoy...well, the food at least. I wasn't overly enamored of the play. I quit after the first one.
