Quick, cheap eats in the Middletown, NY (Upstate) area--need last minute recs!

I'm going to be in Middletown, NY (Orange County) very shortly and would like to hear your picks for good, cheap, simple eats in the area. I'm only going to be in Middletown for less than a day and will be travelling by myself. Looking for take-out spots, holes-in-the-wall, or places suitable for solo dining. I'm open to any cuisine, but am assuming that the majority of the area's cheap/casual food options consists of burgers, pizza, diners, pubs/taverns, and perhaps the occasional ethnic eatery.

Basically, anything's fair game as long as it's a local favorite and not too fancy.

I should mention that I was doing some research on this board and came across a diner called Homer's Coffee Shop in Port Jervis. Sounds really great, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to go 30 minutes out of my way from Middletown. Is there a similar type of place in Middletown or the adjacent communities? Or is Homer's worth a special trip? Thanks in advance.

El Bandito for Mexican. Marios Island Cusine for Jamaican food.

Lunch buffet at Saffron Indian Restaurant on Dolson Ave. It's in the old Playtog's Shopping Center. I can't remember the cost of the buffet, but I'm pretty sure it's less than $10. Food is great, out-of -the ordinary stuff. Dinner is pricey.
