  1. Can't help you with those locations, but they are also opening up in Playa Vista.

Thanks. I am hoping someone will know!!

      1. re: mar52

the playa vista location will take a toll on my pocketbook.

the marina location is so uncomfortable and crowed that i've been able to refrain.
i have to think of it like this:
one medium pinkberry with three tiny toppings costs about as much as two pieces of a la carte sushi at sushi zo.

        which habit will i feed?

        1. re: westsidegal

Very excited about Playa Vista...hate the Marina location too. I also saw one on Abbott Kinney, it looks pretty close to being done.

          1. re: iLoveFood

From what I understand the Abbott Kinney location is now open (abbott kinney & california) across from Abbotts Pizza...deadlly combination.

      2. The one is Brentwood is very close to the corner of Barrington and San Vicente, on the north side of San Vicente, next to the parking lot of Whole Foods. The sign has been up for quite some time and they are still doing some work (not just where Pinkberry will be, but the little structure itself). I would guess at least another month or so.

        1. There will be 2 opening in Santa Monica. One on Main and the other on The Promenade.

          1. i also just saw a poster advertising that pinkberry will be opening in the new plaza el segundo this june.

            see http://www.plazaelsegundo.com/directo... .

there is also a new one in rolling hills. check out http://www.pinkberry.com/ for locations.

            1. I don't know about elsewhere in Santa Monica but there is a sign on a former clothing store on Montana Ave. for Pinkberry--it's next to 17th Street Cafe (between 17th and 16th) on the south side of the street. There will probably be parking problems, but heck, I can walk! I loved PB the one time I was there (Sawtelle & Olympic). So I'm happy.

OMG!! They're multiplying like RABBITS!! This is wonderful news!!

                1. re: ThatPat

is it a really small sign on the one for montana? cause i couldnt see it when i was driving past

                  1. re: pinkpinkpinkpinkpink

The sign was not visible when I walked by last week, so I don't know, but there is definitely construction going on there. I did see a DBA sign with Pinkberry (and something else) in the name a month or so ago. Plus I talked to the waitresses at 17th Street about it. Maybe I'll ask there again what they've heard about it.

                    1. re: ThatPat

There's a really big sign up now...you can't miss it.

                      1. re: WestsideLisa

Yeah - those signs - and the metal bar hoo-hahs... those signs are the sign of problems with these places..

                      2. re: ThatPat

Pinkberry on San Vicente in Brentwood never has any lines. Did see the sign on Montana. Seems to me that the Pinkberry craze is pretty much over. Barrington Court is scheduled to open soon. Given the lack of parking and the proximity of the San Vicente site, I think the only customers (which might be a good thing) will be the after-school kids.

                  2. Oooh, 3rd street promenade, I can walk there from my work! I was at Century City mall and they are opening one there soon, not sure of the date though.

                      1. the one near the promenade is going to be at 411 sm blvd. according to here:

                            1. I live two steps away from the one opening in Brentwood. I hope they open before the summertime comes! And also I hope there's no line!

                              1. Went to Literati Cafe for a soy mocha and saw a sign that they now sell Pinkberry frozen yogurt.

Speaking of too much I saw that they are opening one at the Farmer's Market at the Grove.

ok, this pinkberry nonsense has me channeling susan powter [anyone remember her...?]

                                      "stop the madness!!!"

                                      1. re: 1_healthnut

I used to have nightmares (for real) about Susan Powter!

Screw Pinkberry, gross fake chemical stuff

                                          1. re: huskyla27

The Brentwood one is going to be a ZOO. And that Whole Foods parking lot will be insanity.

                                            1. re: cupcake

agreed. i was really hoping this stupid trend would fizzle out before pinkberry made it to brentwood. i hate that they're invading my 'hood.

                                              1. re: 1_healthnut

Stand in line... so does everyone else... classic example of the NIMBY syndrome... so many people want PB - just not in their own 'hood...

                                                1. re: bulavinaka

actually, i'm one of the few who doesn't want it, period. i tried it, and wasn't the least bit impressed...no desire to ever eat it again.

                                                  1. re: 1_healthnut

While I do find PB okay, I don't go above that in my rating of them. As far as them being in my 'hood, they already are - at least my daytime 'hood. I work in Venice and the PB there is, well, I'm sad... it's totally out of character...

                                  2. they just opened one up in Anaheim, CA

There's one opening in Walnut on the corner of Colima and Fairway

                                    2. I am happy to say that the bakery next to the 99Ranch and Marukai store on Artesia and Normandie just got a frozen yogurt machine...
You can get a fro yo cone for 99cents or for the same price as a PB medium with 3 toppings, you can get a medium AND a small (toppings are an additional 75 cents for each). They completely fill up the center and therefore there is no hole.
As for the taste, the fro yo at this bakery is creamier (PB is much icier) and a little more tart/sour (which I like).
Its a nice refreshing treat for these hot summer days.
