I just discovered this place today - newish job nearby. Had the xiu mai banh mi - very tasty, super tender meatball, nicely toasted bun, although lacking in heat - even though the nice man added more chilis for me. The meatball soup looked very good, and he was kind enough to show me the three different cold cuts - cha lua, cured pork, and headcheese - that go into the combo. The banh mi have gone up to $3.50, which is still, to me, a great deal for lunch, as one sandwich is enough to fill me up.

Today I had the combo, and i think might like it even better than the xiu mai (with the addition of my some chili garlic sauce). and correction: The xiu mai banh mi is $3.50, but the combo and the other pork sandwiches are only $3.00. the xiu mai soup and bread is $4.50.
As another poster said on another thread, the addition of the green onion is a good one - gives a little sweetness.
ETA: ack - be careful of the bread! it's super crunchy (and delicious) and cut the roof of my mouth to the point of bleeding!
